Man Utd fans allowed to travel for Champions League game in Bern: the Times

Sept 9 (Reuters) – Manchester United supporters will be able attend their Champions League opener against Young Boys after the Swiss team agreed to a late change of COVID-19 regulations for Tuesday’s game, the Times reported.

Young Boys had declined to allocate away tickets based on local laws that do not recognise Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) pass, saying supporters would only be permitted entry with a Swiss or European Union vaccination certificate.

Lafayette man arrested for St. Landry Parish home improvement fraud

A Lafayette man was arrested Friday in connection with a home improvement fraud case out of St. Landry Parish.

The Sheriff’s Office says that 48-year-old Albert George Johnson was arrested following an investigation that began in February 2020.

According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, Detectives were notified on February 23, 2020 to a residential contractor fraud incident.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the victim allegedly entered into a contractual agreement with Johnson, who is identified as the owner of Alliance Covenant Painting, LLC.

Irish man dies in car crash just hours before wedding day

A 20-year-old man was killed in a car crash in Ireland just hours before he was set to walk down the aisle, authorities said.

Myles Harty, of Limerick, died at the scene after the car he was in veered off the road and hit a pole around 1 a.m. Saturday, The Sun reported.

The crash came the same day as his nuptials at St. Munchin’s Church in Limerick City.
