A U-Haul box truck, packed full with belongings of a family of five, was stolen overnight from a hotel parking lot in Arapahoe County.
The victim of the truck theft is Keagan Harsha, a former news anchor at KDVR FOX 31 who left the station earlier this month and was moving his family to his home state of Montana. (Update: On Sunday, Denver7 reported that the U-Haul truck was recovered, along with many of the belongings, in Aurora.)

The 2021 Ford F-650, 26-foot U-Haul box truck, with Arizona license plate AK25235, was stolen from the parking lot of the Comfort Suites near Interstate 25 and Dry Creek sometime overnight Friday into Saturday, according to an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Harsha, his wife and three young children were staying one last night in the metro area before their planned drive to Montana.
“Keagan went outside to the hotel parking lot at 8 a.m. and the truck was gone,” the sheriff’s office said. “It had all the belongings they owned including their computers, furniture, beds, clothing, family photos and more.”
KDVR bid a sad farewell to Harsha and his family earlier this month.
“After six years with the station, Harsha is moving on to greener pastures in his home state of Montana,” the TV news station said. “Taking a management position he’s rightfully earned, Harsha will lead a new team and guide a staff of journalists to the excellence he provided in Denver.”
The sheriff’s office Saturday asked the public to be on the lookout for the stolen truck. Anyone who spots the truck, or has information on the theft, is asked to call 303-795-4711 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
